Hey! I’m Marcy

I’m a senior product designer based in Pittsburgh, Pa.

In my current role I lead design across multiple public, educational websites. I contribute to daily design tasks, mentor fellow designers, and establish design practices and standards. My superpower is finding the throughline between multiple options.

I’m skilled in UX/UI design, design strategy, user research, and design team leadership.

I hold an M.S. in Information with a specialization in human-computer interaction from the University of Michigan School of Information (pictured above 😍) and a B.A. in Global Studies with a minor in Photography from Carnegie Mellon University.

I came to design from a background in the humanities, and I think that my desire to always understand how and why connects me to these two disciplines. I love that as a designer, I get to not only research why and how things are, but also build products that can shape the future.

In my free time, I bike along the rivers in my hometown of Pittsburgh and watch films on my Letterboxd watchlist (usually horror, or anything from the A24 back catalog).

My cat, Waffle, usually keeps me company while I’m designing.
